Mackenzie Carter

Ballet~Jazz

Mackenzie Carter started dancing ballet at 5 years old at Linda Fenton Dance Studio, and never left!  Mackenzie started competing in lyrical and jazz when she was 10 and has attended dozens of competitions since dancing as well as coaching as an assistant coach for their competition team for the last 8 years.   

She was on her high school dance company where she was able to expand her dancing to hip-hop, modern, and contemporary as well as choreographing many dances for their concert.  Mackenzie had the opportunity to travel to New York City and study at Broadway Dance Center.  She has performed in Mountain West Ballet’s Nutcracker for many years in numerous roles, as well as their productions of Sleeping Beauty, 12 Dancing Princesses and Alice in Wonderland. In 2020 Mackenzie choreographed 2 pieces for the LFDS recital in 2020. 

She is a Graduate of the University of Utah with a B.S. In Human Development and Family Studies. She recently graduated from the U with her Masters degree in Occupational Therapy. Her passion is to help others across the lifespan and looks forward to utilizing her skills from her education to benefit dancers.   Her favorite hobbies are reading, travelling, and hanging with her fur babies  but her passion has always been dance.  She also looks forward to teaching and helping the next generation of dancers.
